There is always a sea breeze on the brick front porch, and the brick patio behind the house, and never any bugs!
The orange and lemon and fig trees all bear plentiful fruit. The oleanders and alders and honeysuckles and morning glories and crepe myrtles and bottlebrush are mature flowering annuals on this property.
This is a cement block house and the dining room addition is cement block also.
Even the studio building in the back is cement block. This makes for a cool and quiet home, and is a perfect defense against termites.
The block is coated in shell dash stucco, a technique used locally to create a surface of countless small seashells and shell fragments, all from our local beach, a beautiful,
natural surface.
